EASTER CELEBRATIONS & ACTIVITIES 2008
Teen Glow-In-The-Dark Egg Hunt-Thursday March 20th from 8pm-10pm for grades 6-10 at the Golf Club Driving Range: $12 pre-pay at The Waterfront Park ($15 after March 18th or at the door). Same old egg hunt? Not at Eagle Harbor! This one's a fun and challenging egg hunt in the dar of night seeking the glow-in-the-dark Easter Eggs and prizes to those that find them! Music will be provided by DJ Kris- pizza and soda available for purchase. Bring your favorite Easter Basket and come out for the fun.
Adult Glow-In-The-Dark Egg Hunt-
Friday night March 21st from 8pm-11pm at The Golf Club Driving Range and Club House. Same prices as the Teen Egg Hunt. DJ Kris will be there to provide the sounds; wild and wacky games, drink and appetizer specials and neat prizes for the egg hunters! Wristbands will be distributed to the attendees and need to be worn to join in the egg hunt. Limited tickets will be sold for this event, so it's a good idea to prepay at The Waterfront Park.
14th Annual Easter Scramble-
This one's for the young-uns. Scheduled for Saturday morning March 22nd at 10am sharp, at the Eagle Harbor Soccer Complex. Cost is $6 prepaid at The Waterfront Park, or $8 after March 18th or at the door. Wristbands will be given to, and must be worn by the participants. There will be five age group divisions: 10-12 years old; 7-9; 5-6; 3-4; and 2 years old and younger. Now remember to bring your baskets and cameras, 'cause The Easter Bunny and Peter Rabbit will be attending the fun! Cool prizes for egg finders.
Bunny Basket Deliveries-
Brought to you by The Easter Bunny on Easter Morning (Must RSVP for the deliveries by March 16th at The Waterfront Park) There are three types from which to choose:
Teen Basket-
Best for ages 11-16 and will be filled with candies, goodies, a chocolate rabbit and a gift card- all for $30 per basket.
Child's Basket-
Best for ages 4-10, this one will have delicious Easter candy, a chocolate rabbit, a stuffed animal and other goodies- all for $30 per basket.
Toddler Basket-
Best for ages 3 and younger, this basket will have more age-appropriate treats like goldfish crackers, teddy grahams, animal crackers, and maybe a bit of Easter candy and a stuffed animal friend-to-be- all for $25 per basket.
EASTER SUNDAY SUNRISE SERVICE to be held at 7 am under the tent at the Golf Club. What a setting to celebrate the worship service, presented by Dr. Jim Weldon, Jr. and The Fleming Island Presbyterian Church. It's a special time that should be inspiring for all ages with uplifting music and people-friendly prayers to reflect the religeous diversity in Eagle Harbor and the surrounding community. Coffee and refreshments will be available before and after the service- and please- come as you are. You may call the FIPC at 269-2412 if you'd like more information.
SPRING BREAK ACTIVITIES
Friday March 28- Sunday April 6: The Swim Park will open for Spring Break from 11 AM- 7 PM; The Snack Bar will be open Monday-Friday from 2-7pm; Saturday and Sunday from 11am-7pm. There will be a host of activites all week long. Here's a snapshot:

DETAILS:
SPRING BREAK CAMP March 31st through April 4th from 8:30am-6:00pm for ages 5-11. Extended hours are available ($5 extra) from 7-8:15am. Cost for the regular hours are either $45/day or $145 +tax for the week. It will be a week of action-packed games, crafts, swimming, cookout, trips to St. Augustine, boat tour, Project Playground, bowling and Ollie Koalas. Space is limited- so please call the Waterfront Park (394-5918) with payment and reserve your spaces.
ADULT VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT Saturday March 29th at 2pm, Swim Park: Please register your teams by March 25th. Make them up with your neighbors or friends. Teams should be at least 6 players.
TEEN POOL PARTY Scheduled at The Waterfront Park on Thursday April 3rd from 7pm-10pm- and no parents allowed! This is for grades 6-10 only. Cost is $8 if paid by March 31st, or $10 at "the door". Planned fun includes dancing, swimming and black light volleyball. Residents must accompany their non-resident guests. Teens coming to this event must be dropped off in a vehicle: they may not ride their bikes to or from the Waterfront Park. It will be chaperoned and snacks and beverages will be available. Attendance is limited to the first 150 to pay. Final date to RSVP with payment at The Waterfront Park is April 1st!
DIVE-IN MOVIE At The Waterfront Park on Friday April 4th at 8pm; $5 per adult and $3 per child (although kids 3 and younger are no charge). Yep- THE BIG SCREEN IS BACK IN ACTION! Remember- the pool is heated- and you can rent a float for only $3 while you enjoy the movie. Also available will be popcorn, ice cream and drinks at snack bar prices. Remember to RSVP at either the Waterfront Park or the Swim Park by April 1st!
OTHER ACTIVITIES: FOR THE EGLETS
After School Activities
The after school program runs each week from Monday through Friday from 2 pm- 6:30 pm at Lick Skillet. Bus pick-up is available from Fleming Island and Thunderbolt Elementary Schools.
The program will focus on homework first- THEN crafts and games. There will be a different monthly theme throughout the school year, using arts & crafts, games and birthday celebrations. Wednesday's activities will focus on Fun and Fitness. The cost is $20 per day, or $70 per week, not including tax. For more information, please call The Waterfront Park at 394-5918.
FOR ADULTS AND KIDS
INFANT AND CHILD CPR Scheduled for Saturday March 29th from 9am-2pm at The Waterfront Park. Cost for Eagle Harbor residents is $45; non-residents $50.RSVP with payment to The Waterfront Park BY MARCH 26th. This is a great opportunity for present (or future) coaches, babysitters, teachers and parents to invest in some child's future! Preventing, providing basic care for breathing and/or cardiac emergencies and recogizing same in children unde 12 years old are vital skills- as are preventing disease transmission! This is a Red Cross Training and includes the following:
recognizing an emergency
protecting yourself
check: call: care
how to care for a choking child/infant
prioritizing care
recognize and care for a non-breathing child/infant
care for cardiac emergencies: choking, CPR and rescue breathing
SWIM LESSONS
ZUMBA Fitness ZUMBA is all about F-U-N- laughing, smiling and dancing to Latin music and learning great classics such as the Salsa and the Merengue! It's a mixture of body sculpting movements and easy-to-follow dance steps. You do not need to have previous dance experience or talent to have fun here! We plan on having those "feel good" workouts you've wanted to get involved in for so long. It's a great time to get the young-un's involved, too. This series is for ages 9 and up and will be held at Lick Skillet. The first time you try ZUMBA Fitness, there's no cost. When you decide to continue, it will run either $7 per class, or you can get a punch card of 10 classes for $50. The schedule will be:
Mondays: 9:15- 10:15 AM
Tuesdays: 7:00- 8:00 PM

YOGA
Tuesday from 5:00-6:30 PM at The Waterfront Park. For $12 per class you can relax and unwind as you learn ancient secrets! Anita Sanci, a certified professional- level yoga instructor, brings this multi-level Kripalu class to Eagle Harbor. Please bring a yoga mat or towel (and a water bottle). RSVP to The Waterfront Park by Monday prior to each class. Call 394-5918.
BOOT CAMP- Total Body Conditioning This 4-week fitness group will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Lick Skillet. AND NOW- ON SATURDAYS TOO from 7:30-8:15am! At $10 per session (but the first one is FREE), you can burn up those unwanted calories with fun and group support and feel good about yourself through total body conditioning. The morning-only times will be from 6:30-7:15; from 7:30-8:15, and from 8:30-9:15 (except on Saturdays as noted above). The sessions are conducted inside and outside using a military-type format with progressive, innovative and creative excercises in fitness. Definitely one of the easiest clubs to join around- and most beneficial for professionals to network. No RSVP's necessary!
Plans are to meet at the Club for lunch from 12 noon to 1 PM on Friday March 14th. C'mon out and meet some new friends and make some contacts! Just look for the sign at our table and join us.
